Precision spinal care,
now in The Shoals.
Your spine protects the nervous system that runs everything. We use the Gonstead method to find exactly where it’s being interfered with, correct it, and help your whole body work the way it should.

Precision Root-Cause Care
THE METHOD
The Gonstead Difference
Most adjustments are general. Gonstead is specific. It’s one of the most precise systems in chiropractic, and the reason care holds instead of fading by your next visit.
Before anyone touches your spine, Dr. Nate runs a full Gonstead workup at your first evaluation — five ways of finding the exact problem.
Then only the segment that needs it gets adjusted. Found correctly, then corrected precisely.
STEP 1
Visualization
Reading how you stand, move, and hold yourself.
STEP 2
Instrumentation
A Nervoscope detects heat differences along the spine that signal nerve pressure.
STEP 3
Static Palpation
Feeling the spine at rest for swelling, tension, and misalignment.
STEP 4
Motion Palpation
Checking how each segment moves, joint by joint.
STEP 5
X-Ray Analysis
Seeing the actual structure so nothing is guessed.
CONDITIONS
What we help with
Most of what people bring us traces back to spinal nerve interference. Gonstead analysis finds the structural level involved before we do anything else.
Pain that persists despite everything else you’ve tried. Gonstead analysis identifies the exact spinal level first.
A lot of chronic headaches have a structural component at the top of the spine. Correcting that level is something medication can’t address.
When nerve roots get compressed along the spine, you feel it as numbness, tingling, or shooting pain. We pinpoint the level before touching anything.
Strains and overuse often come with spinal misalignment that slows recovery. Getting that corrected is something rest alone can’t do.
What people often notice improves
When the nervous system is working without interference, people often notice changes well beyond the original complaint.

Care for the Whole Family
Chiropractic isn’t just for back pain. Gentle, specific care supports the whole family, through pregnancy and into childhood.
Pregnancy changes how your body carries weight, and the back, hip, and pelvic discomfort that comes with it is real. Dr. Nate provides gentle chiropractic care through every trimester to help you stay comfortable and keep the pelvis balanced as your body adapts.
Children’s adjustments are light and low-force, nothing like what you might picture for an adult. Gentle care that supports healthy movement and development as they grow.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your First Two Visits
We don’t rush the diagnosis. Your care starts across two visits, so Dr. Nate has the full picture before building your plan.
No referral needed
Book directly. No referral, no doctor’s order, no insurance pre-authorization.
Day 1 — Assessment & first adjustment
01 | Health history
We go through symptoms, history, past care, and what you’ve already tried. Context before anyone touches anything.
02 | Gonstead assessment
Visualization, Nervoscope instrumentation, static palpation, and motion palpation. This is where the problem gets located.
03 | Report of Findings
Dr. Nate explains what the assessment found and how it connects to the symptoms you came in with.
04 | X-rays
Full-spine film imaging taken on-site. Film takes a little longer to process than digital — the tradeoff for image quality.
05 | First adjustment
A precise, specific correction to the segment identified in the assessment.
Day 2 — X-ray review & care plan
01 | X-ray review & care plan
You come back and Dr. Nate walks you through your developed films, gives you the deeper Report of Findings, and builds your care plan — informed by both the imaging and how your body responded to the first adjustment.
Wear comfortable clothing
Wear something loose. Dr. Nate needs access to your spine during the assessment, and tight clothing gets in the way.
Bring any prior imaging
Old X-rays or MRIs are worth bringing if you have them. Not required, but they help Dr. Nate get oriented faster.
Arrive 10 minutes early
There’s a short intake form to fill out. Coming 10 minutes early means your appointment starts on time.
Questions are welcome
Dr. Nate explains every finding. Come with questions. He sets aside real time for the report of findings.
MEET DR. NATE
Your chiropractor at The Shoals
Dr. Nate Nunez
Dr. Nate Nunez is a Gonstead chiropractor at Kinnection Clinic, The Shoals. He is a graduate of Life University and holds a bachelor’s in neuroscience and nutrition from the University of Puerto Rico.
His path into chiropractic started with one question: how does the body heal itself? That curiosity carried him from studying cellular biology and nutrition to working hands-on with patients, with a single goal throughout — to educate, empower, and help people understand their own health.
He believes healing begins when you understand what is happening inside your body. That is why his approach is both precise and educational: science to guide the care, conversation to build the trust. Dr. Nate is bilingual, EN | ES, and is committed to serving and connecting with The Shoals community through both care and education.
